Splunk's Miami Dot Conf runs every year. But this time it would host its largest product launch, with a broader, more complex value proposition.

This clearly warranted something more than a standard event launch. Splunk also wanted to avoid email overload, and many global partners couldn't attend in person.

It needed a simple, personal way to land the message and help partners sell with confidence.

So we launched Turn up the volume—a voice-activated campaign built to do exactly that.

A world first for Alexa

Partner research with Splunk showed audio was the fastest way to reach its global channel.

So we created the world's first channel-focused Alexa skill, letting partners access Splunk content anywhere using natural language and voice.

Alongside it, a podcast series unpacked partner-relevant topics with Splunk experts and guest voices.

Together, they made Splunk's content easier to consume, and harder to ignore.

Spinning up record numbers

The podcast drove record partner-portal engagement in the shortest time ever, and Splunk now counts it among its most popular downloads.

Together with the interactive playbooks, it proved a highly effective way to engage partners and reinforced Splunk's reputation as an innovative vendor.
